The DISSH set I wore all summer long.
If there is one store that can take all my money, it’s Brisbane-founded brand DISSH. Striking the perfect balance between elevated cuts and textures and high-street prices, I am a sucker for their weekly (I think?!) new arrivals.
Why DISSH nails sub-tropical climate dressing
Last summer was a scorcher of a summer in Brisbane, and getting dressed without being drenched an absolute mission. Sweating bullets outdoors, then freezing my bits off in the aggressive air-conditioning, there is no happy medium between October to April in South-East Queensland. can’t compain - the winters make up for it!
The DISSH set you need in your life
Mid-November I stumbled across this set at their stunning Pacific Fair boutique and it was love at first sight. It was so perfect that I left my other option (also a DISSH set, go figure) in the closet and spontaneously wore it to my sister-in-law’s wedding the following day!
I wore this outfit on repeat most weeks until the temperatures dropped - it even worked for a country-meets-cocktail engagement party where the altitude meant a serious drop in temperature (post photo, I borrowed a strangers coat and didn’t take it off all night).
In fact, I loved it so much I bought it again in black, an coerced my mother to do the same. Clearly, Ben - my partner, if you didn’t guess - and I both have our favourite pieces we wear anywhere and everywhere, as per proof above!
Shop The Look
The Oscar Scoop Neck Linen Vest is tailored enough to add a touch of chic, toned down by the relaxed and soft linen material. Will I be over the cut after seeing vests literally everywhere this year? No, I won’t. If you’re unsure about sizing, because DISSH do sometimes take the piss, I have a broad a chest and shoulders and size 8 is the perfect loose fit on me.
I’m not particularly tall, so the Syrah Midi Skirt fits me like maxi skirt, and I quite like it. I also can’t be bothered to pay to have it tailored. It’s lined, offering the ideal amount of coverage. It’s cut just right so you can actually take big steps and manspread to your heart’s content without flashing the world. It’s brilliant and sadly, I dropped a big glob of peanut butter on my beige version - sad days.
I’ve dressed it up with the Cass Linen Crop Top (sadly sold out as I publish this blog), and I’ll be pairing it with a loose t-shirt and knit jumper now that the temperatures have dropped.

How can one bang on about a single set for an entire blog post you wonder? I can - because when I find a look that makes me feel like a million bucks, I will rave about it to any one and everyone who will listen, or in your case, read.
DISSH design team, if you’re reading this, thank you for coming up with this set. PR team, if you’re in the same room, feel free to reach out at any time - just saying.
